Hi, I’m Sophia — a storyteller, illustrator, and dreamer at heart.

For over 30 years, I worked as a hairstylist, listening to stories, holding space, and helping people feel seen. But tucked away inside me was always another kind of story — one that had waited patiently since I was a little girl with a big imagination and a deep longing for connection.

I lost my mother when I was six years old, and like Olivia, I often turned to daydreams and nature to make sense of my feelings. Olivia and the Garden of Wishes was born from that tender place — a love letter to the little ones who grieve in quiet ways and the adults still carrying that child inside.

This series is more than just a collection of stories — it’s a place to come home to. A garden for wishes. A gentle reminder that healing doesn’t have to look loud or fast — sometimes, it looks like a barefoot girl, a firefly, and a secret wish whispered to the wind.

When I’m not working behind the chair, you’ll find me writing or drawing, planning Olivia’s next adventure, or wandering barefoot through my own garden — with crayons in my pocket and my bunny not far behind.
